Games like Chinese checkers, battlefield, and scrabble are normally called board games. There is a rift between these two opinions though. There is the kind of “board game” that is played in casinos. This does not really come as something that simple as the games played at home for fun. They involve money. Games like monopoly are board games that are normally played in casinos, so is backgammon.

These games are very primitive ones that people played just for the sake of it. Now it has gone to reach a new genre where there is a lot more involved; a lot more than the fun factor of course. Now there is a lot of strategy and a lot of mind involved in these games. A player comes with money now and where that is the sole purpose, things are supposed to get serious.
